Retired Dogs

This is Scooter, born Nov. 2, 2019. His registered name with the American Stock Dog Registry (ASDR) and AKC (American Kennel Club) is Ghost Eyes Red Drift Scooter. He came to us from Packet Ranch – Home of Ghost Eye Mini Aussie in Saskatchewan. He is a red-tri Mini Aussie with a shoulder height of 17″ and weighing in at 35lbs (at maturity). His sire, Lazy D’s Ghost Eye’s Fire n Ice (otherwise known as Oatis) is a Red-Tri with a shoulder height of 16″. His Dam, Ghost Eye’s Prairie Wildfire (otherwise known as Prairie) is a Red Merle with an estimated shoulder height of 16-17″ at maturity. His Paw Print Genetics test confirmed he is MDR1-P/P (positive) and N/N (negative) for all other hereditary genetic diseases commonly found in Miniature Australian Shepherds. Right from the day we brought Scooter home we were pleasantly surprised by his calm and happy demeanor. He is always smiling, playing, and learning. For an intelligent, high-energy herding dog he is quite calm. He learns and listens very well. He is great with all of our kids, his dog friends (both old and young), the family cats, and our friends’ horses. This intelligent boy is also a bit of a Houdini, so crating was a challenge. Scooter has now moved to Vancouver Island and is living his best life with his grandson Oakey as his new best friend.
